How to Export

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Access Wallet Settings

    • Navigate to your wallet dashboard
    • Click on settings or account menu

  2. Select Export Private Key

    • Find “Export Private Key” option
    • Read security warnings carefully

  3. Confirm Security Warnings

    • Acknowledge you understand the risks
    • Confirm you will store key securely

  4. Copy Private Key

    • Copy the private key to secure location
    • Do NOT screenshot or save to clipboard long-term

  5. Verify Backup

    • Test your backup by importing to test wallet
    • Ensure you can access funds before relying on backup

Import to Solana Wallets:

  1. Open Phantom, Solflare, or compatible wallet
  2. Select “Import Wallet” or “Add Account”

  4. Access your multisig wallet

Recover Wallet

If you lose access to Sharkblock Bot:

  1. Import private key to compatible Solana wallet

  4. Revoke Sharkblock’s access if needed

Important Considerations

Multisig Limitations

When using your private key outside Sharkblock:

  • You control the user member of the multisig
  • Sharkblock still has execution rights as second member
  • To fully remove Sharkblock access, change multisig configuration via Squads
  • Threshold is 1/2, meaning either party can execute transactions

Revoking Sharkblock Access

To remove Sharkblock from your multisig:

  1. Export your private key
  2. Import to Solana wallet
  3. Connect to squads.so 
  4. Modify multisig members or change threshold
  5. Remove Sharkblock member

⚠️ Note: After revoking access, Sharkblock cannot execute automated trades.

Storage Recommendations

Offline Cold Storage (Most Secure):

  • Hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor)
  • Paper wallet in fireproof safe
  • Metal backup (steel plates)

Digital Storage (Use with Caution):

  • Encrypted password manager (1Password, Bitwarden)
  • Encrypted USB drive in secure location
  • Air-gapped computer

NEVER Use:

  • Cloud storage without encryption
  • Screenshots on phone/computer
  • Plain text files
  • Browser password managers

Regular Security Audits

  • Monthly: Verify backup still works
  • Quarterly: Check who has multisig access
  • Yearly: Rotate private keys if compromised risk

If you suspect key compromise:

  1. Immediately transfer all funds to new wallet
  2. Create new multisig for future trading
  3. Update Sharkblock with new multisig
  4. Monitor old wallet for suspicious activity

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Sharkblock access my wallet if I export the key?

No. Sharkblock never sees your private key. We only have execution rights via the multisig, which you can revoke anytime.

Will exporting affect my bot’s operation?

No. The bot continues to function normally. Exporting only gives YOU additional access options.

Can I import the key back to Sharkblock?

The key remains valid for your multisig. You can always reconnect to Sharkblock using the same wallet.

What if I lose my private key?

Without the private key, you lose access to your wallet funds. This is why secure backup is critical. Always verify your backup works.
